A lonely career

Being a writer can be so sad and lonely sometimes. (That is when you’re not busy rubbing hands with a smirk on face thinking of how readers will take a plot twist.) It can be sad and lonely when you love your characters enough that you draw a happy scene which you’re sure many readers would enjoy and feel happy about but you can’t. Because you’re the author and you know that scene is the last one they’ll be okay in… For a while… possibly a long while.

For the record I’m writing scenes from volumes 6, 7 and 8 as we speak. And I’m thinking about how all was well back by the end of vol4, so yeah it could be something that is to happen in future near or far, or something that’s already happened.
