I’ve read this chapter probably 5 times already, but it wasn’t until now that I really understood what Waseem is saying here.
We don’t really have agency over our being. We don’t really understand ourselves either.
Part of growing is to learn in what we believe in and not being so easily swayed. Cultivating that firmness. Being able to stand our ground.
