I realize he didn’t want to do further harm to Violet & her family, but at the expense of an innocent child, Black, and the suffering & guilt on Yaldar….pretty big price tag for your own guilt being assuaged….but then I guess it wasn’t so was moot & only done for the appearance of not being involved.
